As a Quality Control (QC) Specialist based in Doha, Qatar, you will be responsible for ensuring that products, processes, and services meet established quality standards. Your role will involve developing and implementing quality control procedures, conducting inspections and tests, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to address quality issues. Key responsibilities include:
Quality Control Procedures:
Develop and implement quality control procedures and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
Establish and document quality control processes for incoming materials, in-process production, and final product inspections.
Create and maintain quality control documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), inspection checklists, and test protocols.
Inspections and Testing:
Perform inspections and tests on raw materials, components, and finished products to verify adherence to quality specifications.
Utilize appropriate measurement tools, instruments, and equipment to assess product attributes, dimensions, and performance.
Record and analyze inspection and test data, and report any deviations or non-conformities to relevant stakeholders.
Quality Audits:
Conduct internal quality audits to evaluate the effectiveness of quality control processes and identify areas for improvement.
Ensure compliance with relevant quality management systems and standards, such as ISO 9001.
Collaborate with external auditors during supplier audits and customer inspections, as required.
Non-Conformance Management:
Identify and investigate quality issues, non-conformities, and customer complaints.
Implement corrective and preventive actions to address root causes and prevent recurrence of quality problems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement necessary process improvements and ensure continuous quality enhancement.
Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare accurate and comprehensive quality control reports, including inspection findings, test results, and quality metrics.
Maintain detailed records of quality control activities, including sample tracking, inspection results, and disposition of non-conforming products.
Generate periodic quality performance reports and provide recommendations for improvement to management.
Training and Compliance:
Provide training and guidance to employees on quality control procedures, standards, and best practices.
Ensure awareness and compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry quality standards.
Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in quality control practices.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance roles, preferably in Doha or a similar market.
Familiarity with quality management systems, methodologies, and tools.
Knowledge of relevant quality standards and regulations, such as ISO 9001.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Proficiency in quality control techniques, inspection methods, and statistical analysis.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
Certification in quality control or quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ) is advantageous.
