Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Inspection and Testing:

  • Conduct visual inspections and sensory evaluations to assess the quality of raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods.
  • Perform physical and chemical tests on samples to measure attributes such as taste, texture, color, moisture content, pH levels, and nutritional composition.
  • Utilize laboratory equipment and tools to carry out precise measurements and analyses.

Data Recording and Reporting:

  • Record all quality control test results accurately and maintain organized documentation.
  • Prepare detailed reports summarizing test findings, deviations from specifications, and any corrective actions taken.

Food Safety Compliance:

  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines to ensure food safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor critical control points (CCPs) to prevent potential food safety hazards and take appropriate actions when deviations occur.

Process Monitoring and Improvement:

  • Collaborate with production teams to monitor key process parameters and ensure consistency in product quality.
  • Identify areas for process improvement to enhance product quality, efficiency, and waste reduction.

Calibration and Maintenance:

  • Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment regularly to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
  • Notify the Manager of any equipment malfunctions or deviations.

Training and Communication:

  • Train production line staff on quality control procedures and quality requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to share quality-related information and resolve any quality-related issues.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Candidate must be available in Qatar and able to join immediately.
  • A college diploma or equivalent is required, and relevant coursework or certifications in food science, chemistry, or quality control are advantageous.
  • 5year Prior experience in a food manufacturing environment or quality control role is desirable.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations, GMPs, and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 22000) is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment and testing methodologies used in food quality control is preferred.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records are crucial.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential.
  • Effective communication skills are necessary to convey test results and collaborate with different departments.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic production environment are important for success in this role.
